My Activity

Reviewed Raspberry Tiramisu

"The real Italian lady fingers are crunchy, better make the regular tiramisu, which you have to soak in the espresso or coffee. This is better to use the soft lady fingers - Trader Joe's have them sometimes... Try using 2 Angel food cake (loaffrom the market, slice into three layers, it's light, and easy to lay. Strawberry works too."

Reviewed Campanelle Pasta Salad

"You really shouldn't change the recipe much except the past if you can not find the same shape...They do use canned tuna in many dishes in Italy, or France for that matter. But you should always use the kind in olive oil - not in water, that's why they taste funny. You can find tuna in olive oil in most stores now - Trader Joe's for sure, if you ha""

Reviewed Lasagna Rolls

"This is the only way I'd eat Lasagne, because I don't like any pasta SWIM in the red sauce...You do have to double the bechamel sauce, I had to make more sauce half way! Will try to add some saute fresh shitake and oyster mushroom w/ garlic - these are soft textured mushrooms.

It is time consumming, and it's just two of us here, so I make it when we have company, so far everyone liked it.....even there's no meat :D

Reviewed Zucchini Parmesan Crisps

"Great idea for not to fry the zucchini...some curshed garlic is needed. Buy smaller ones, as it has less soft center, thus less soggy. Dip in the egg white is a better idea for having the bread crumbs to stick better than oil.

You can even do shrimp the same way with Panko, add any spices you wish.... make sure not to over cook.
