Reviewed Lime Shrimp Lettuce Wraps
"I just recently discovered(and now love) the flavor combo of lime and shrimp, so when I saw this recipe I had to try it right away. To the 1st reviewer, the new episode only aired for the first time on the morning of 4/09/11, so maybe that's why there aren't more reviews yet- no matter anyhow. They must put these recipes up online earlier. Anyway, I loved this recipe! It's easy to make, flavorful, fresh, and low carb and pretty. I didn't find the lime overpowering at all- just fresh. Made only slight changes- left out ginger and I also used wheat-free tamari instead of regular soy. I also used Boston bibb lettuce(which the leaves are large, soft, and buttery) so it wrapped nicely. The little crunch of the water chestnuts was nice! Such a healthy and light recipe for any day. Will definitely make this every week now. Give it a try! If you don't like "citrus" maybe use less or don't try this recipe, but truly I did not find it too "citrusy". Next time I may also add some lime zest too."
Reviewed Red Velvet Swirl Brownies
"These were the best brownies I've ever tasted. For the record, I am not a fan of chocolate brownies- definitely near bottom of my dessert list. When I saw Sunny make these I thought it would be great being not too chocolatey(the cream cheese part was really what I was craving). OMG, they came out perfect! They were so beautiful w/the bright red and white swirl. Perfect color for xmas time! They were super moist and flavorful. Wicked easy to make- this will now be the only brownie recipe I make. Coworkers all enjoyed them also. Not only do they taste good, they look impressive.
