Reviewed apricot glazed lamb chops with pistachio and sumac

Jun 30, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Delicious! I made the recipe as written with a rack of lamb (minus the sumac) and it was extraordinarily wonderful! I paired it with an herb salad and grilled apricots and it was quite a hit for our dinner party. Will definitely make again and easy enough for a mid-week meal.

Reviewed turkey and spinach lasagna

Feb 9, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Super tasty, relatively easy, I"ll make it again. It was a little spicy for my son, so next time I'll probably omit the red pepper flakes and maybe sub another kind of sausage. The adults loved it. One thing to keep in mind is that the formatting of the recipe does not differentiate the essence recipe from the rest. I almost dumped in 2 tbsp paprika...

Easy, very straightforward flavors, an all around solid no frills french toast recipe. The orange zest is a very nice addition. I have used the recipe with cinnamon raisin brioche and that worked well too. "

Reviewed Spicy Coconut Shrimp with Spicy Mango Basil Salsa and Lime Jasmine Rice

Delicious! If you like heat, this is a great recipe. If you're not much of a super spicy fan, I'd cut back to 1 jalapeno. The mango salsa is a must. We will definitely make this again! Next time, we'll try cooking the shrimp on the bbq and then adding back the sauce. "

Reviewed Turkey Lasagna

Apr 26, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe was good & very flavorful, but I think it could be improved. I really liked the tomato sauce and the turkey sausage. The ricotta/goat cheese mixture was also nice. I used the highest quality cheeses/meats available, which I can imagine made for a nicer dish, but also did make this quite an expensive lasagna. I agree with the previous r"

Reviewed Apple, Pecan and Blue Cheese Salad

Nov 5, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Although I enjoy the combination of apples, blue cheese, and nuts in salads, this one fell flat for me. I'm very surprised because this type of salad is typically my favorite. The dressing is the culprit. The ingredients seem to be there, but in all the wrong proportions. I will keep looking for a killer recipe or try to tweak this one to make it "

Very interesting recipe! My husband dislikes squash and usually pushes it around his plate. He ate every bit of this one. I was somewhat skeptical about the veggies with the squash, but the combination (plus the roasted squash seeds) was delicious. Make this!"

I am surprised at all the very positive reviews for this recipe. I thought it was too lemony and didn't have enough depth of flavor. While the mushrooms and potatoes were good, they didn't seem to complement the chicken. I don't think I"ll make this one again."

Ina is right- this is a super easy dish, perfect for a tuesday night. It's not stellar enough however to serve to guests, but great to have in my arsenal. The only down side is that I typically don't have fresh thyme on hand and probably won't want to buy it for this dish. Next time I'll make it with dried thyme for a truly tuesday night dish!"

Reviewed Toasted Couscous Salad

Sep 30, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This salad was easy, tasty, but really wasn't anything special. I'll probably make it again for a quick side, but don't consider it a recipe that I'll reach for if I want to impress. It called for WAY too much couscous, so I'll probably half the quantity if I make again. Take note, the recipe doesn't indicate when to put in the feta in the descrip"

This salad was a huge win. I was not sure if I'd like it much based on the simplicity of ingredients, but together, they were light, fresh, and wonderful. This is a great recipe for standard banana bread. So often I find that banana bread recipes fall flat because they are either too dry or too gooey so they cannot bake all the way through. The sour cream may be the key. This recipe baked evenly and perfectly. I used 4 very ripe bananas and the banana flavor was wonderful. I have found my go to rec...
