Amazing! And so easy! Didn't have banana liquor so used Disaronno instead. Served over vanilla yogurt and topped with granola."

I never liked tomato soup until I tried this recipe, and I LOVE it! Because we like a chunkier soup, I cut back on the chicken broth and to not puree. Creme fraiche is not available in our area so I used yogurt instead. Thank you, Giada, for such a flavorful, enjoyable, easy-to-make tomato soup. ""

So good and so easy! I had all the ingredients on hand except for the arugula and green beans so left them out. I was wondering if the soup would be bland without the addition of chicken or vegetable stock, but it wasn't! The fresh herbs added a nice, light flavor, and I used canned diced tomatoes rather than fresh. I didn't bother soaking/squeez...

A++++! I love this dish! Great comfort food, especially when served with ropa vieja. I followed Ingrid's recipe, but added 3 cans of beans instead of 4. "

I would give this recipe 14 stars if I could! It was extraordinarily delicious and very easy to make. I cut the recipe in half, skipped the achoite powder (not available in my area), and cut back a little on the beer since I didn't have enough room in the bowl for the marinade. I let it sit in the fridge for about an hour and a half before slow cooking....

I took the suggestion of another reviewer and added crushed pineapple which made this dish perfect. It's a gorgeous salad and the perfect accompaniment to ropa vieja and rice and beans."

Easy, delicious and fancy! It was very nice served with brown rice, Brussels sprouts and squash soup.

With so many mixed reviews I wasn't sure what to expect, but I really like this dish! The flavors work well together and make a nice compliment to the hot dogs. Instead of fresh tomato I used canned chopped tomato and used the juice to thin the sauce rather than water. It was fun to have serve this in a pita pocket. Since I usually find pita bread...

Loved it! And so easy to make! We don't have access to Greek yogurt so I bought whole milk yogurt instead. When I got home I discovered it was vanilla yogurt so used it anyway and it was great! A great drink to serve with something spicy.

This is sooooo good! I've already made it twice and it's been a hit both times. The touch of ginger is refreshing but not overpowering. The first time I couldn't find chocolate wafers so used Archway Dutch Cocoa Cookies instead. The crust came out kind of chewy but it was very good. The second time I was able to use chocolate wafers and I have to...

Oct 5, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

While Aarti's personality is vibrant, this dish is bland, especially served in a lettuce cup. I had a lot left over so used the remaining pilaf with pre-packaged Indian food. I liked it much better when used as the base for something saucy.

The first night I served the dish over rice and thought was just OK. But the second night after reheating it and serving over penne pasta, we enjoyed it much more. I also added a North African spice blend to give it a little extra kick.
