"This was the best beef stew we have ever made. I followed the recipe except that I finished cooking it in a crock pot. When we got home from work, our house smelled so good. I have made many beef stews before so I am guessing it was the soaking in the wine overnight that made it better. I used an $8 Cabernet that was on sale for $5.""
