Reviewed baked tilapia with herb butter

Aug 4, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

This was really good. I liked the freshness of the herbs on the fish. I'll definitely be making this again. I added lemon zest to the butter mixture to give it a bit of brightness. I also served the fish with fresh baked bread and used the leftover herb butter on the bread.

Very easy to prepare, and the taste was quite delicious. I would definitely make this recipe again.

Reviewed Sauteed Mushrooms in a Hot Crusty Pita

Jan 22, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Delicious and easy to make. The directions were not as precise as they should be, but I was able to wing it without much of an issue. The hardest part of this recipe was cooking the bacon. I would definitely make this again.

Reviewed Fudge Brownies with Espresso Frosting

Nov 17, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

My rating is based solely on the frosting, which was not the correct proportions. I mixed the espresso with 1 can of frosting and all I could taste was the cream cheese frosting. The frosting was super thin, and had no coffee taste. I made more espresso, and added that to the runny mixture, and added more powdered sugar to try and get a stronger...

Reviewed Hummus Dip

Nov 10, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

WOW! I have been craving hummus for a couple weeks, and decided to make it today. I followed Alton Brown's recipe for slow cooker chickpeas because I didn't have any canned chickpeas. I followed this recipe, except I omitted the parsley because I did not have any on hand. This was amazing. I also used the two cloves of garlic, even though I halved...

Reviewed Surprise, It's Pumpkin! Enchiladas

Oct 21, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

WOW! I made these tonight and thought that they were super easy. I really like the idea of substituting pumpkin for cheese in my enchiladas, and adding just a bit of cheese inside and on top really helped to give it a cheesy flavor, but with a lot less calories.

Reviewed Pumpkin Pie Spice Martini

Oct 21, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

Delicious! I made these for a party, and they were a total hit. SO much so that I was requested to make them again at Christmas. I would recommend using the vanilla vodka, as the orange vodka wasn't as tasty. I also omitted the cranberry seltzer, because that product is not available locally. It is a sweet cocktail, but very delicious.

Reviewed Thai Chicken Soup

Oct 15, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

I found this recipe to be quite good. I followed the directions as posted; however, I substituted red curry for green, as that was all that I had on hand. I thought the flavor was a bit bland, there was definitely some heat to it, but it was not quite how I expected it to be. Overall, it was very good.

WOW! These were amazing. I asked my housekeeper to make this recipe because I was craving English muffins and they aren't available locally. These were better than the ones I have bought in the grocery stores before. They are so fresh and tasty I have a hard time not eating them all at once. The timing of the recipe is off, as the noted 5-6 mi"

Reviewed Tea Cakes with Earl Grey Icing

Mar 9, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Frosting was ok. As another reviewer mentioned, mine never formed peaks. Instead, it was just a thick, runny mess. I tried frosting one cupcake, but it ended up just running everywhere. It tasted good, with a hint of tea flavor, but I was disappointed in the consistency. I did not make the tea cakes."

Reviewed Mini Espresso Cakes with Peanut Butter Frosting

Mar 3, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Frosting was way too sweet. I made the frosting as described, but when I tasted it, all I could taste was sugar. I added quite a bit more peanut butter until I had a peanut butter flavor--making it almost one cup of peanut butter. I did not make the espresso cakes, but instead used the peanut butter frosting on top of chocolate cupcakes. "

Reviewed Brioche and Berry Bread Pudding with Lemon Fondant

Oct 21, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Delicious! I made a few minor modifications based on the ingredients I had on hand. I used frozen berries, and just over a cup of milk (I didn't have cream. I used regular bread, because I needed to use it up. I also halved the recipe for the lemon fondant, based on other reviewers' comments. I baked in a casserole dish until puffy and golden"

Reviewed Golden Honey Mustard Dressing

Oct 7, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I really liked this recipe as it was super easy to make. I normally just buy honey mustard dressing, but it's not available where I live. I used sunflower oil instead of grapeseed oil, and it turned out well. As others mentioned, this was slightly bitter, but I just added a touch more honey. I also used less oil than what was called for, becau"
