I made these beans twice, even purchasing new beans and soaking more than 24 hours. Beans were tough and crunchy even after cooking for more than 6 hours. I also tried the brisket (which I have made using other recipes with great success)and it was tough, dry and basically inedible. I had to throw out both beans and brisket. What a waste..

I loved the caramelized onions and olives and the whole idea of the tart, but my crust was soggy. Wish I knew what went wrong. I'd like to try it again.
