Reviewed Broccoli Soup

Excellent soup!! I made the croutons with a slice of sweeter bread (Kings Hawaiian) quickly crisped in a skillet. Which added an interesting flavor as well as a bit of garlic in the soup. Additionally, I pulled a few broccoli flowers out before the pur���e. It was a delicious lunch!!

Absolutely delicious marinade! Used thin deboned chicken breasts. Added chopped fresh flat leaf parsley and smaller amount of fresh thyme. Juice of one lemon, topped off with fresh orange juice for one half of original recipe (plenty), then used 2 tsp of honey and a clove of garlic. Best marinade ever!!"

I thought the soup was superb. Used half and half and cut the butter on both front and back by half. Also added 1/2-1 tsp dry mustard for added zing. Tasted before and after - good addition! Also added one shredded carrot for color and sharper cheese. It was very tasty. I will definitely make this again."

I made this ahead and although the flavor was great the night I prepared it, taking it to work the next day for a potluck, proved that it should not be made ahead for best flavor. I would agree, that the parm cheese could be left out. Would definitely try again and cook the asparagus less, maybe add pinenuts for some varied flavor.""
