Not sure how long one might have to cook the glaze for it to "thicken..." I cooked it for well over 10 minutes and it was just liquid, which made everything wet. The rest of it was ok."

IMO, this is not the best version of this classic recipe. I had cracker candy at a party and loved it. In looking for a recipe I came across Trisha's version with brown sugar. The butter and brown sugar made too much toffee - too sticky. I'm going to try a version of this recipe with white sugar."
