The best advice on boiling eggs is from Martha Stewart. Place eggs in a medium pot and fill with just enough water to cover eggs. Bring to a full rolling boil. Remove pot from heat and cover for 12 minutes. Cool under cold water. Perfect yolks; never green. "

I agree, the potatoes took longer than the recipe calls for (about 20 minutes at 400 degrees for EACH side with my oven). I found the thinner the cut, the better the result. You really need a special tool as mentioned in the recipe(I used the Pampered Chef crinkle cutter) it lets you get the slice thin enough. My family loved them.
