My Activity

Reviewed Lemon-Cornmeal Cookies

"Turned out very good. 3 cups of sugar seemed excessive, especially with sugar sprinkled on top, so I only used 2 cups and it was still sweet, but a little tart - perfect. Next time I might whip the egg whites before folding in and see what happens - they got pretty foamy while I was beating them with the butter and sugar, but I was using a hand mi"

Reviewed White-Bean Chili

"This was delicious! I made it for my brother, who swears he doesn't like soups and stews (he believes white bean chili falls into this category) and he went back for seconds and thirds. It did come out a little more soupy than I would normally expect for a chili, but it was so flavorful no one minded. I will definitely make it again.""

Reviewed Steak With Blue-Cheese Butter and Celery Salad

"The celery salad wasn't something that I would eat by itself, but the bright, acidic flavors helped cut the richness of the steak and blue cheese butter. This is a flavorful, EASY recipe.""

Reviewed Shrimp Fra Diavolo

"I realized at the last minute that I didn't have any parsley, so I used cilantro instead, added a squirt of lime juice and made it Mexican! Served it over farfalle pasta and everyone loved it. Nice, bold flavors. ""

Reviewed Almond Rice Pilaf

"This is so good! Not fussy at all, and the flavors are wonderful. Goes fantastic with pan-seared fish."

Reviewed Classic Italian Lasagna

"It was good, but it needed something. The tomato sauce was a little bland, and actually reminded me a little of stouffer's, despite the good ingredients. I added some links of hot Italian sausage to the ground beef, but it tasted like it needed more. I did like it, but I'm going to keep searching for a better recipe.

Reviewed Pork Tenderloin with Chipotle-Maple Mop

"This is a favorite. It is fast and easy, has a lot of flavor, and everyone loves it.

Reviewed Molasses Coffee Marinated Pork Chops

"I didn't personally care for this recipe. The flavor was certainly unique, and my boyfriend enjoyed it, but to me it tasted too sweet, and slightly burnt at the same time. I cooked the pork chops in a skillet because I don't have a grill, and it may have lost some essential flavor that way. If you make this, watch the sauce carefully while it is reducing. I wasn't paying attention and mine boiled over. It was edible, but I won't be making this again.
