My Activity

Reviewed Raffy's Turkey Sausage and Chestnut Stuffing

"Favorite stuffing ever. I made it to compliment my Mom's traditional recipe last Thanksgiving and the family ate more of Raffy's stuffing than Mom's tried and true recipe!

Reviewed Crab and Corn Chowda-Mac

"Easy and delicious. My husband asked me to top it with bread crumbs and more cheese and cook it in the oven (for a more traditional mac n' cheese taste) and it didn't dry out and was so good. It is a great spin on an old classic. I used home-canned Dungeness crab instead of fresh and it turned out perfect.

Reviewed Orecchiette with Greens, Garbanzo Beans and Ricotta Salata

"This was the first recipe of Giada's that I didn't like. I can't really pinpoint what the problem was, but I served it to visiting in-laws and nobody liked it. Usually every pasta recipe of hers is perfect, but this one was just off somehow.

Reviewed Lemon Fusilli with Arugula

"Usually Ina's pastas are great, but this pasta was just plain bad. The lemon is incredibly overwhelming (and I LOVE lemon) and it being mixed with heavy cream gave the sauce a really funky flavor. My husband will eat any pasta I toss his way, but after taking a few bites, he glumly admitted that it was not good at all and stopped eating it. The worst part is that it made so much and I had to dump all of it down the drain, since neither of us could stomach it.

Reviewed Pine Nut Cookies

"I highly recommend this recipe. Not only are these delicious cookies incredibly easy to make, they are always a HUGE hit. I have served them at dinner parties and holiday functions and they are the perfect cookie to accompany a rich dinner or other sweet desserts. The fennel adds a perfect depth of flavor, the pine nuts give it a slight nuttiness and the cookie itself has a shortbread flavor.
