Reviewed Chicken Milanese with Escarole Salad and Pickled Red Onions

Apr 9, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I love cooking with Panko. The chicken was moist and delicious and nice and crunchy. This is a very easy recipe and so quick to fix. I served the chicken with steamed rice and asparagus as my husband wouldn't have eaten the salad. He loved it and I did too.
Thanks Anne!"

Reviewed All-American Down-Home Patriotic Meatloaf Sandwich

Mar 13, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is the very best meat loaf I have ever made and I have made plenty. I finally gave up making them because they were always hard and dry. Made this one after seeing the show and it was great. Even my husband, who is not a meat loaf fan, loved it. He came in and made a meat loaf sandwich the next day while I was away! We both love Jeff's s"

This pie dough is a POC (piece of cake as Anne would say!) It rolled out easily and was plenty for a 9 inch deep dish pie. Very flakey and delicious!"

These were easy, delicious, and elegant! Served them at a luncheon and got rave reviews. So much easier than regular Baklava and not quite as "rich" and sticky. Can't wait to make them again."

Reviewed Parmesan-Crusted Pork Loin Cutlets

Sep 1, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Made this for dinner last night. It was easy and delicious. I used Panko breading and the chops were crispy and moist. I picked up the pre-cut pork cutlets in the meat "markdown" section (the pull date was the next day) and they were 50% off! There was 4 chops and weighed just over 1 pound. All for less than $3.00! Served with green beans...

Reviewed Easy Grilled Pork Chops

Jun 2, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

The chops were great! Good flavor and so easy. There are only two of us so I cut the marinade recipe in half and just used two good sized center cut pork chops. I marinated on the counter top for two hours. I'm pretty new at grilling and I was afraid they might dry out. Not to worry! I grilled on medium hot heat to get nice grill marks on b"

Jan 26, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Made this for dinner last night. It was delicioius! My husband usually doesn't care for stroganoff because I have always made it with red wine. He loved this one and went back for seconds. Easy and quick with a little advance preparation. I highly recommend this recipe.""

Reviewed Flat Apple Pie with Perfect Pie Crust

Jan 17, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This morning I overheard my husband bragging about the wonderful pulled pork and apple pie I made this weekend! The pie turned out great...very flakey crust. Main thing is to let it chill for a short while...if too stiff to roll let it sit on the counter top for a few minutes. I did not have a problem with the juices leaking out. I kept the c...

Delicious! Moist and flavorfull. Hubby loved it! Served it with boiled taters and roasted vegies..my applie pie was outstanding. Didn't try the coleslaw yet. I already had all the components on hand for the pork. Will be having leftovers tomorrow...maybe in corn tortillas...
Lots of grease on the sauce so I am saving that in the fridge...

Reviewed Braised Country-Style Pork Ribs

Nov 20, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was easy to make and very tasty. I used one pork chop and one pork sirloin chop because that is what I had and there are only two of us. Be sure to trim all excess fat before browning the chops or you will have a little exxon valdez floating on top. The braise was yummy but next time I will double the veggies and increase the liquid just ...

I finally got around to making this for dinner last night. It was delicious! I used two cans of the Northern Beans (rinsed & drained). Used three thighs and two legs and had to add a little extra chicken broth. I am heating some of the left-overs for my "brunch" as we speak. Thanks for sharing this lovely recipe Melissa!""

Sep 5, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Hubby wanted soup for dinner so decided to make this. It was wonderful. Very flavorful. I had to substitute bacon for the Pancetta. My store didn't have dried chickpeas so I used two cans, rinsed and drained. I highly recommend that you DO NOT add any water until you have it pretty well put together. I didn't add any water at all and it was...

Very tasty! I really enjoyed this. My husband....not so much. He is a stick-in-the-mud when what I fix isn't what he normally eats. I fixed Sunny Anderson's chicken fried pork chops to go with this. The only thing I didn't enjoy about this particular show was the Music!!! It drowned Anne out most of the time...""

Reviewed Baked Ziti in a Mornay Sauce with Italian Sausage and Fennel

Apr 14, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Real comfort food and easy to make. I made it exactly the way the recipe reads the first time I made it. It was perfect, except we found it a little dry, especially when we heated up the leftovers. I made it again last night and used a little less sausage and only 3/4 pound of ziti. I used all the mornay sauce and it was wonderful. There are...

These beans were outstanding! We had two picky youngsters at the table and they had 3 or 4 helpings. I followed the directions as written, but I removed the bacon while cooking the beans and then sprinkled the bacon over the beans when I served them. No more green bean casserole for me.
