This was my first time trying this recipe. Mrs. Dean out did herself with this one. I made a few adjustments: 2 teaspoons of vanilla and I added 3 Tablespoons of pineapple preserves in the cake batter. I replace the two 9 inch layer pans with a 9 x 13 baking dish. OMG, I made this for dessert tonight and it was delicious. I made some adjustments to it; I added 1/4 grated nutmeg, 1 cup of regular sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar, 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla, and 3 pie dough (1 one the bottom and 2 on the top).
