"another great and easy Tyler recipe. Use Alton Browns Pate a Choux for the dumplings and its even better.

Reviewed The Ultimate Beef Stew

"Its the best. Try using FRESH pearl onions instead of frozen...pain to peel but makes a huge difference. I add a handful of rehydrated Morels to it, and instead of the bread i serve it with sliced Polenta. Whip up some polenta and pour it into a cooking-sprayed bread loaf pan and let it cool....flip it over and slice into 1/2 inch slices. Venison shoulder or hind quarter works well too....but add about 20 minutes to the braising time.
