My Activity

Reviewed Homemade Gravy

"Awesome gravy! It was a bit salty though. I think my turkey drippings were quite salty to begin with, and I did not adjust the recipe to account for that. I didn't add the white wine, but I did add the whipping cream and the brandy. I don't usually have liquor in the house, so I bought a cheap bottle of E&J brandy and it tasted just fine and only cost $5. I'll make this gravy again next year, but this time I'll use low-sodium broth and won't add the salt until the end.

Reviewed Perfect Roast Turkey

"This turkey was great. Being that it was my first time making thanksgiving dinner all by myself, I needed an easy but yummy recipe, and I have no complaints.

Reviewed Best Ever Green Bean Casserole

"It was pretty good. Definitely better that the traditional canned casserole. The green beans were cooked perfectly, but the onions were burned. Ended up having to make an emergency trip to the grocery store to get the french fried onions in a can. I will probably make this again next year, but I won't cut the onions as thin, and will keep a closer watch on them while they're in the oven.
