Reviewed Chicken with Vegetable Ragout and Polenta

I put this in the slow cooker yesterday and when my boyfriend got back from fishing, dinner was ready. It was flavorful and healthy. I found the polenta in the organic/health food section, it was not refrigerated- hope that helps. ""

The best chicken and dumplings ever. So tasty, and I'm not even into this type of comfort food, I made it for my boyfriend, but ate a bunch myself. I will make it again. "

They were pretty good, but I thought the salmon got lost a little in all the seasoning. Mine benefited from a little squirt of lemon too. "

Good. I made the whole meal in that episode, and it went well together. The noodles were actually better than the chicken. It was tough to find the right noodles to use though. "

Reviewed Chicken Skewers with Peanut Sauce

Jul 1, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Very good. The peanut sauce was a little hard to nail though. I kept adjusting it, until it got a little too runny and I thickened it; bad idea, it turned out way too rich, should have left it alone and not fussed so much over it, my fault. "

Good, but we thought they were a little too bland. The butter helps the flavor though. "

It was okay. I have no idea what the butter was for, I just added a little of it to the whole mix lol. I thought it turned out soggy, so if I ever make it again, I will use less juicy fruit or mix some cornstarch into the fruit and see if that helps. "

Reviewed Berry Custard Pie

Jul 1, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I followed the advice of some previous reviewers, but still wasn't great. It was too egg-y tasting and soggy. I think I would make some adjustments to it, but I don't think I will make it again; don't want to waste money. "
