Reviewed Iced Lemon Cookies

"This recipe DOES NOT WORK. It's a good thing that at least there is a footnote warning us that this has not been tested, but PLEASE change the ratio of the ingredients!
The first time I made these, they were a total waste of time. However, as I hate wasting good ingredients, I then left it to my mother, who used the baked cookies as a base for a wonderful sponge cake. The second time around I made the recipe following again the exact instructions and only baked a small portion. The result was devastating, they were like lemon pancakes but flat and hard and so not presentable. I also realized that the lemon sugar on top adds to the horrible effect. So I added about one cup flour and some chopped nuts and used it a base for a tart. Baked at 200 Celcius for 20-25 minutes, until just moist but golden. Didn't use baking beans to keep it flat as it flattened as soon as it came out of the oven. Put on some whipped cream and it was amazing! Everyone loved it!
