My Activity

Reviewed Creamy Chicken and Pasta Salad

"This was super easy and super yummy. I don't like to use rotisserie chickens because of the added fat and cost, so I poach chicken in large quantities, shred it, and freeze it in smaller plastic bags for future use. It only takes 30 minutes to thaw in a cold water bath. The flavor of the yogurt made this awesome! So much better than a mayo bas"

Reviewed Beer-Braised Chicken

"Made some minor modifications using what I had on hand. Bone in chicken thighs, mildly sauteed onions, dried thyme and Dijon mustard. Was absolutely fabulous! The flavor was rich but not overpowering. We used smitwhicks beer and it was the perfect beer for this dish. Anything darker would be overwhelming I think. ""

Reviewed Green Bean Casserole With Crispy Shallots

"This was really quite good. Tried it prior to making it for thanksgiving and I highly recommend it. The fresh flavors are much better than the traditional canned sauce. The only reason I rated it a 4 is that for a side it was quite labor intensive. Not difficult, just took a long time to put together.""

Reviewed Roasted Curry Chicken Thighs with Yogurt Cumin Sauce

"Incredible! Juicy and full of flavor. I did marinate for 24 hours and feel this did make a substantial contribution to the chicken flavor. I did add some lemon zest and juice to the sauce which gave a beautiful brightness to it. I served with a couscous with lemon zest, parsley, red onion and dried cranberries. Perfect accompaniment.

Reviewed Kuwaiti Cinnamon-Orange Iced Tea

"Wow! The spiciness of the cinnamon and ginger go perfectly with sweetness of the sugar and light citrus undertones. Made it for fathers day cookout and my husband added it to my must make again list immediately. Well worth the extra few minutes it takes to make.

Reviewed Perfect Pork Burgers

"Oh my goodness! These are absolutely incredible! Fyi the bacon is supposed to be raw to help keep the lean ground pork moist while cooking. The coleslaw is a perfect accompaniment and would even be good with bbq sauce. I'm not a huge pork fan but have been trying to make new recipes and branch out."
