Simple and very tasty. This same formula will work for almost any kind of berry. I used it for blackberries and strawberries and they both came out great. I tried brushing one with heavy cream instead of egg. I liked it better.

I made this recipe exactly as printed. It was really, really good. The only thing I added was a bunch of grilled shrimp. I basted them with the left over butter from making the crackers. They turned it into a main course and it was hearty and wonderful on a cold evening. Unlike the other reviewer, I thought the stock was totally worth making homemade....
