"Great "stand by" recipe for leftovers! Made this dish several times with different pasta's, vegetables, chicken etc, (fresh cooked and leftovers). made it as recent as last week Saturday when I had Bow Pasta leftover and Mussels. Added red pepper flakes and fresh made garlic bread. very satisfying dinner for two!"

"Basic and Simple! What could be better? Before buttering the dish I rubbed it generously with garlic (family LIKES garlic! what can I say?). used only 2 cups of cream (it was all that I had!)added 1/2 cup of sour cream. Also dusted the layers with a slight grating of fresh grated nutmeg. I make it several times a month and vary the original recip"
