Reviewed Homemade Gravy

"The best gravy ever!! This is my second review of this and I have made it for the past two years at Thanksgiving. I follow the recipe exactly every time. Since I first found this recipe though I have used Chicken broth if we are having chicken and beef drippings/beef broth if we were having Beef Roast and it comes out delicious every time!"

Reviewed Chicken and Noodles

"Very good! I made this tonight and my husband just loved it! I watched Ree make it during last weekend's show and followed the recipe exactly like it said and it turned out perfect. The only mistake I made was that I didn't add enough water to cover the chicken before I boiled it so I just added chicken broth after I removed the bones. Yum!

Reviewed Buttered Rosemary Rolls

"These rolls are so good! I made them last weekend and did not change a thing! I do have a cast iron skillet and I think that does make somewhat of a difference. I used the Rhodes brand frozen rolls. Also, fresh Rosemary also makes a huge difference as opposed to dried Rosemary. GACOOK221, Maybe you need to watch Martha Stewert (yuck) as opposed"

Reviewed Olive Cheese Bread

"I made this olive cheese bread tonight to go with our dinner and my husband and I just loved it! It has a wonderful flavor. After reading reviews and looking at other reviewer's tips, I did go ahead and buy the reduced salt piminto stuffed green olives and it did not taste too salty to us, it was just right. I did make it exactly like the recip"

Reviewed Chicago Steakhouse Sandwich

"YUM YUM are THE words that sums up this Sandwich!
I made this sandwich tonight and followed Jeff's instructions to a tee on everything (the meat was great cooked in the cast iron skillet---perfect!). The Sauteed Garlicky Spinach is wonderful!...would even be great as a side dish with another meal or even by itself, it is that good.
As I said, I""

Reviewed Seafood Gratin

"I made this dish last weekend. I followed Ina's directions to a tee (used store-bought seafood stock) and didn't change a thing. This is absolutely devine...and the sauce is to die for! Definately another one of Ina's many 5+ star recipe's.
(I did not have any individual Gratin dishes and had been wanting some because they are so elegant, so ""

Reviewed Southern Fried Chicken

"This is 5 stars PLUS! I made this tonight and it was my first time frying chicken. I used my dutch oven with just under half full of the peanut oil. I sprinkled all of my chicken pieces with the House Seasoning and then refrigerated that for about 2 hours before I began frying it. That seasoning stuck to the chicken so nicely as I dipped it in""

About Me

I am a Housewife and my husband is the Gen. Mgr of a small corporation here in town. We both love to cook. Our passion is Traveling and good food. Cooking good food used to really intimidate me so I really did not try my hand in it until I began watching the Food Network about 5 years ago (I was allowing him to cook, I always loved a man who liked cooking lol). Not anymore, in fact he built me an additional (huge) cabinet to put all my kitchen gadgets in....I keep finding more "stuff" and we are beginning to run out of room again lol. I am a neat freak in the kitchen, so I clean as I go; my pet peeve is when I allow my hubby to cook, he is not as neat and clean lol. My favorite Food Network Chefs (cooks) are Paula Deen, Ina Garten, Rachael Ray and Emeril Lagasse. What inspires me to cook?....One of them one time on one of their shows said "food is a very personal thing, and to see your loved ones LOVE what you cooked for them, it does your heart good".

Favorite Foods

I am famous for my Green Pepper Steak....I love cooking it and everyone loves it. It is my Mom's recipe that I grew up on. My favorite Restaurant is a local here called Smokin' Joes. There are 3 in the NW Arkansas area and they are famous for their BBQ, yet they have a little bit of everything on the menu.....and it's ALL GOOD! They have the best Iced tea in the area.
