Reviewed Portuguese Sausage-Kale Soup

"Decent soup, but please change the name, as countless others have pointed out that this is *not at all authentically Portuguese* However, it is important to remember that Portuguese immigrants settled not only on the East Coast but also in the San Francisco area (and a number later moved to Hawaii), I married a descendant of one of these. He HATES kielbasa, I love it.

Reviewed Old Fashioned Sweet Potato Pie

"The meringue topping greatly detracts from the sweet potato flavor, and a meringue topping on a classic like sweet potato? Gilding the lily much, Paula? Sweet potato is wonderful, people! Stop beating eggs and sugar, purchasing tubs of Cool Whip (!!!, and who knows what else to mound on a great pie. If the pie doesn't taste great, search for a better recipe or look for ways to improve technique.
