OMG....what a delish brownie. My boyfriend really enjoyed it. LOVE IT

Reviewed spiced almond, grape and mixed green salad

May 24, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

It was simple and a great way to incorporate radishes but the spice didnt stick to the almonds. So that was a little disappointing. Otherwise nice dressing that complimented the dish.

Reviewed roasted alaskan salmon with granny smith apple butter sauce, and herbed potato cakes

May 24, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Great Fine Dining Meal... I followed the recipe almost exact and it was fantastic. It tasted like something from a 5 star restaurant. I read a few reviews and only used 3/4 of the butter required for the apple butter sauce. I felt the sauce really complimented the potato cakes. The hard part of the recipe was grating the potato by hand. I used...

Reviewed chicken and smoked sausage gumbo with white rice

Mar 27, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

This was a perfect hit at the house. Everyone loved it....I added king crab legs 20 min and cooked shrimp 5 min before it was done. I may have burnt the roux because there were little black pieces throughout the dish but I stirred the whole time as directed... It was still really good. I was proud since this was my first time making gumbo.

Reviewed beef bourbon y'all

Mar 24, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Tasted pretty good, the bourbon was gone by the 2nd hr. The beef was so tender and it looked more like a stew than saucy meat. I wasn't too impressed with the flavor it was just ok but my boyfriend loved it so.....

Reviewed chicken and broccoli stir-fry

Mar 24, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

So delicious, taste just like the PF Chang's version of garlic and ginger broccoli chicken. I omitted the 1/4 tsp of salt after reading that the dish was a little salty from other reviews.... Also added maybe a little more ginger and garlic than the recipe called for but it was soo good.

Reviewed baked shrimp scampi

Feb 7, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

The whole family liked it and I thought it was pretty good. I didn't have enough shrimp to fill the dish so I used a piece of salmon cut into really small pieces that would cook as quickly as the shrimp. Will make again. I didn't give 5 stars because I felt the wine taste was too predominant, would have liked a more traditional garlic flavor but...

Replied to Turkey Meatloaf Recipe : Ina Garten : Food Network

Jan 28, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I altered based on previous reviews for just 1 lb. Ina's recipe is for 5 so changing the components is a must. I only added 3 extra ingredients and substituted the ground turkey for chicken. It is still in essence very close to Ina's recipe.

Reviewed The Chewy Gluten Free

Jan 22, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Very good, I used stevia in the raw instead of sugar and was told that it seemed grainy in texture but i thought it was great flavor and consistency for gluten free.

Reviewed Cherry Couscous Pudding

Jan 22, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

This was wonderful. The couscous absorbed all the milk and it was dry so I made 1/2 more of the milk mixture and added some evaporated milk to make it a little creamier. I also used stevia in the raw instead of sugar and regular instead of wheat couscous. The flavor and consistency was great especially the next day after it was refrigerated.

Jan 14, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Great flavor....had to tweak based on what I had on hand. Miracle Whip instead of Mayo; Greek yogurt with pineapple at bottom omitting as much fruit as possible; no grapes available; lemon chicken from previous night dinner; pecans and walnuts; regular raisins not golden....pure delish

Reviewed Chicken Pie

Jan 13, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I probably shouldn't be rating this recipe since I altered it immensely but here it is anyway. I took another review's suggestion and reduced the chicken broth to 1 and 1/2 cup since I like a more thicken pot pie. I also added fresh mushroom and a bag of frozen mixed veggies in the mix while it was boiling. I then sauteed a half of onion and added...

Reviewed Turkey Meatloaf

Jan 9, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

This was my 1st attempt at meatloaf and it was a success. I used the alternation suggested in another review for 1lb of meat and changed it a little bit also.

Reviewed Caramelized Salmon with Bok Choy and Asian Citrus Sauce

Jan 7, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

The salmon was really good but as stated in other reviews the sauce was not thick enough to stick to the protein. The favors were great and worked well with the salmon and vegetables mix. I found the recipe to be enough for 4 servings on the sauce, veggie mix and sugar coating. The 1 cup of sugar coated 4 pieces of fish and still had left over....

Reviewed Grilled Flank Steak with Ginger Marinade

Dec 10, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

I felt it was bland, I looked at the video and did it exactly as shown and it was blah...mainly sesame oil flavored. It marinated overnight but the steak was partially frozen when I put it in the marinate. I will try it again and use a garlic press for garlic and ginger instead of crushing or slicing like it shows in the video.

Reviewed Herb-Roasted Potatoes

Dec 10, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

Very easy, I used sweet and regular potatoes that I had on hand and baked them for about hr. Everyone liked them, the rosemary and thyme work well together.

Reviewed Emeril's Two-Bean Turkey Chili

Dec 8, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

Perfect recipe for chili. I used chili beans and added them undrained instead of the kidney beans. This was my first time making chili from starch and it was great. I didn't use the chicken stock, instead I replaced it with a chicken bouillon cube and a 15 oz can of tomato sauce instead of the 8 oz tomato sauce.

Reviewed Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Dec 8, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

I used wheat bread and smashed turkey links added 1 tsp minced onions, 1 tsp garlic powder and cut the salt in half. I only left it in the fridge for 10-20 minutes. Also didn't have half and half so I used 1/2 heavy cream with 1/2 2% milk the results were pretty good flavor.

Instant hit on the table, the scent was aromatic and filled kitchen. There was little room in the pan to baste the dish so that part was a little tricky but otherwise pretty simple. So good that there was no left overs.
