.Actually, when making a casserole, it is always best to rinse the pasta (otherwise, you may end up with a gummy pasta). When cooking a pasta to eat with a sauce, you don't rinse so the sauce can latch on to the noodles.

James did you even try the recipe? Also, do you realize that this is very similar to a popular frozen meal? Besides TY never claimed that her recipes were creative. She says that they are simple recipes that are passed around her family.
