"I and my family enjoyed this dish quite a bit. Even my sister, who claims to hate squash, was sad when the leftovers ran out. To make the dish more interesting and colorful, I sauteed mushrooms, onions, and red bell pepper and added in peas and chopped turkey at the end. However, adding these extras also meant I had to make more sauce.

Reviewed Stracciatella Semifreddo

"This is a fantastic dessert. It just needs a bit of modification.

When I made this the first time, I cut the sugar by more than half and it was still too sweet because of the Nutella. I like to be able to taste the natural richness of the cream and eggs without it being overpowered by sugar. I recommend keeping the amount of Nutella the same, but significantly reducing the added sugar. 1/4 cup is quite enough for the egg mixture, and the whipped cream doesn't need any at all. The sweetness of the Nutella and the biscotti crust is plenty for this dessert. "
