Reviewed Lemon-Mint Cake with Lemon Syrup
"I followed the directions, but my cake was flat and I had to remake it. The second time I just whipped the egg whites alone and added the full cup of sugar to the other wet ingredients. Like other reviewers, I also noticed a difference between Giada's yellow simple syrup on the show and my thicker, more gelatin-like syrup. All in all though, it was delicious.

"good tasting recipe that goes great on any steak, but it's actually much easier to stem and seed the dried chiles prior to boiling them.Also, you can just boil the chiles directly in the chicken broth and the sauce tastes the same.
