Reviewed Black Bean Stoup and Southwestern Monte Cristo Sandwiches

Jan 18, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

A fantastic soup, great for a meal on a cold night, or for a quick reheat for lunch and leftovers! Didn't make the sandwiches because we didn't need that much food, but the soup is definitely a new favorite!""

Great recipe! I gave these as gifts, and will definitely make again for my household and others! In making three batches, I learned that it's important to bake them until they're mostly dry (even if it means baking them at a slightly lower temperature so they don't burn); the convection oven worked best!""

Reviewed Baked French Toast with Blueberries

This has great flavor! Based on the other reviews, I used lots of extra bread in the mixture (I used a whole 24 oz loaf of Challah cut into cubes), and the texture was perfect for my standards! Love the blueberries and maple flavor right in the French toast!""

My bars stuck together without a problem; a little crumbly on the edges, but I expected that. I pressed mine into the pan pretty firmly it...

WOW! What a great cake! I never really liked carrot cake before, but this is a new favorite, for me and the coworkers who had it at a recent birthday party! I used golden raisins because I prefer them, but otherwise didn't change any ingredient. I chopped the pineapple pretty small based on the other reviews; I also did shred the carrots with a fo"

This was terrific! I was making it for a friend who needed a break from cooking, and doubled the recipe so I could make one for my household, too. Delicious! I added one 28 oz can of tomato sauce in addition to the two cans of crushed tomatoes and it made the perfect amount of sauce. Also only sweet sausage because kids will be eating it. I will d"

Reviewed Peanut Butter and Jelly Bars

May 10, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These were very good - I made them to send to my youngest brother and his roommates during finals week, and they were a hit! I will definitely make them again, but will make the bottom peanut butter layer thinner (probably will cut the dough recipe by about 1/3). I might also experiment with adding some quick-cooking oats to see if it adds a "cook"
