"One thing I changed: I used cake flour (Softsilk brand instead of the cornstarch-flour mixture. Perhaps this is why my cupcakes did not turn out with a cornbread taste that the other testers used. I did fill in the cupcake liners halfway and baked for about 22 min (and no opening the oven door during baking!. They turned out perfect with carmelization on top. The cupcakes were incredibly moist. This is the BEST recipe for a vanilla cupcake."
