This is one of my go-to recipes! Just wanted to mention if you are counting calories, you can use semisweet or dark chocolate, and substitute 1/2 cup nonfat half and half for the whipping cream, and omit the caramel sauce. This was so easy and turned out delicious. I followed other reviewers' advice and increased the chocolate to 4oz, the butter to 4 TBS, and decreased the powdered sugar to 2 cups.

It's still very sweet but it doesn't overwhelm the chocolate flavor.

My kids loved it!
