Reviewed Mango and Red Cabbage Slaw

"A friend shared this recipe with me and it's quite tasty. I made it as suggested the first time, but felt a different vinegar may help to boost the flavors of the ingredients. So, I used Balsamic vinegar instead of the cider vinegar and added one small chopped red onion. I loved it even more after changing it up. My suggestion is to use this r"

Reviewed Aunt Peggy's Sweet Potato Souffle

"I make this recipe every year for Thanksgiving & Christmas, as it's come to be expected by our large family! I've tried MANY other recipes but this quickly became their favorite. This is a wonderful recipe that you can adjust to suit your tastes and dietary preference if you have the fortitude and skill to do so, but it tastes fabulous just as it is. To make a healthier dish, you can use Agave Nectar in lieu of the cane syrup and cut back on the other sugars as well. Since Agave Nectar is sweeter than granular and brown sugars and most other syrups, you can then cut back on the white and brown sugar the recipe calls for. Of course, it's wonderful just the way it is, too!

Reviewed Sweet Potato Pecan Pie

"This is an absolutely fabulous recipe! I've made it many times and get rave reviews each time. I had to adjust bake time and oven temp due to our altitude (could be the issue for the person that said 375 is too hot) but it resulted in a perfectly solid pie, which made for beautiful plating for our early holiday meal. To make a healthier recipe this time around, I swapped the cane syrup for agave nectar, which had been reduced and thickened prior to adding to other ingredients. Pecan pie filling doesn't overpower the sweet potato filling or vice versa. Very satisfying for those with a sweet tooth and those without!

Reviewed Clam Chowder

"My family LOVED this chowder! And that's a wonderful thing since they have never liked any clam chowder they've tasted...until now. I substituted 5c chicken stock since I didn't have enough clam juice, and used bacon instead of the salt pork the recipe calls for. I used a little extra flour for added thickness and then mashed some of the potatoes for a little added thickness. Since we love to add spice, I made sure to add the hot sauce and Worchestshire before serving. Perfectly creamy, wonderfully filling chowder without a ton of fuss. We'll be making this one again...over and over again!!
