This was insanely good. The sauce had a great kick, and the texture of the dish was just right. Honestly, though, the best part of the night was when we took a few pieces of fried eggplant--hot and crispy--drizzled them with sauce, and snacked while the casserole was in the oven. Next time, I'll skip all the cheese and baking. ""
