In the winter I live in the San Francisco Bay area. In the summer I manage our property on the beach in Mass. I am retired from the semiconductor and magnetic storage industry, so now I can concentrate on my favorite things which include 10 grandkids (11 will arrive in early Dec.); cooking, wine; traveling; reading; and crafts, including Nantucket basket weaving. I read cookbooks like they were novels and have many favorites, but also like finding recipes on line. In the summer I love the fresh seafood I get on the east coast, and the rest of the time I can enjoy the bounty of fresh food in California.
Favorite FoodsI love almost all food though I am not fond of okra, grits, hominy and canned ham. We don't eat out a lot as we both ate out a lot while traveling with our jobs and prefer our own cooking now. I have always cooked almost every night and my husband cooks those nights that I don't. We entertain a lot, and try new dishes regularly.
