"Overall i thought these were pretty good..very sweet! if you are not a fan of chocolate or sweets these are definitely not for you!
The first time i made these, i used her recipe for the frosting (vanilla store bought with pink food coloring). the texture/ consistancy was good, but i did not like the flavor combo with the chocolate.
The second time i made them i used cherry store bought frosting and added a little real cherry juice. the flavor was better but it became too runny. and it was still too sweet.
A third time i used cream cheese frosting with added cherry juice and that one's flavor turned out the best however the consistancy was still too runny.
Overall i would choose the cream cheese frosting for this recipe, the flavor was much better and went well with the cupcakes. it wasnt too sweet.
