My Activity

Reviewed Scones

"I made these great scones and found a wonderful combination! We added dried cherries and chocolate chips rather than cranberries as mentioned. Oh, so good! There wasn't enough and I was told to triple the batch."

Reviewed Herbed-Baked Eggs

"I was very surprised how much this recipe was loved by kids! I fed 10 kids, and every one of them loved the eggs! We did cook eggs in muffin tins. We put 1/2 Tbsp milk (didn't have cream) and 1 tsp butter in each tin cup. We heated them under broiler as recipe calls for and then added one egg per muffin holder. Added herbs/cheese and broiled 5 min.

The yolks were soft and runny. I loved it, but kids asked me to cook a little longer. So I turned off broiler and put theirs back in ON BOTTOM RACK and let them finish cooking the yolk (approx. 3 min in closed, turned-off oven). They were perfectly finished...with yolk completely cooked to their liking.

Will definitely make again!"

Reviewed Chocolate Chip Pancakes with Cinnamon Cream

"My 2 sons (ages 12 and 13) made this for our late lunch. Absolutely delicious! They did not put the choc. chips into the batter, but added them on top of cooked pancakes. Other than that, they followed recipe to a Tee. Also, we tripled the recipe and it worked great! We all voted that the cinnamon cream on top was worth the making!!! We usually buy/use the can of whipped cream. But not anymore! The cinnamon cream was par excellente!!!"

Reviewed Scones

"Very good scones! I did not have cream so I used buttermilk. After cutting the large round dough into pizza-like triangles, we brushed on buttermilk and sprinkled sugar on top. Very yummy. We had 6 large scones that needed cooking 21 minutes, with a final "broiling" to brown the tops. Great job, AD!"

Reviewed Fried Venison Medallions with Feta Dipping Sauce

"I was VERY impressed with this dish! I do not like venison at all, but my husband and 4 sons went hunting and brought home 5 deer. So I've been trying every recipe I can find...and I couldn't find anything that I'd make twice....til now!

This dish had just the right amount of heat to make it pop out, and then with the sharp feta/sour cream contrast....so good!!! Whole family loved it...kids included. Even the 2 yo kept asking for more. Great job, Paula!

Reviewed Parmesan-Roasted Broccoli

"I'm a believer in EVERYONE will like this! I made it tonight and my 2 yo just stared at his veggies. I told him he had to try the "trees" (brocolli). He tried it and his eyes lit up! With a new admiration, he said, "Trees!" and ate the rest.

I had tripled the recipe for our large family and it wasn't enough. I had to tell the kids to leave their dad seconds. They were scarfing it up! Way to go, Ina! Thnx!

Reviewed Lemon and Garlic Roast Chicken

"This is fantastic! The first time I made this I didn't make the gravy. It was great without the gravy, but it was fantastic WITH the gravy! Yummo!

I'm a new Ina fan!

Reviewed Homemade Dinner Rolls

"Great rolls! We did not make them in muffin tins, but on baking stone. One time we had space between them so all edges browned. Another time we had placed them next to each other so only the tops and bottoms browned. Both ways were good.

We did not make them in a mixer. We made them in a glass bowl and used a heavy wooden spoon to fold it and work it together before transferring to floured counter and kneading it by hand. Have done it this way 3 different times. Every time they came out perfect!

Good job! Great recipe! Add Alton's honey butter and you are set!!
