Reviewed Beef Tacos with Mango-Hot Pepper Salsa

Sep 29, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

My family enjoys this meal. I don't serve the salsa on the side, I put it on the meat in the taco shell. If mangos aren't in season, I've also done it with peaches and that is good as well."

Reviewed Honey-Mustard Chicken and Apples

Jul 15, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

After reading the reviews I added sweet potato as well. Thank heavens because the apple turned out so mushy (I used Granny Smith). I used a combo of thigh and breast and the chicken turned out super tasty. The gravy was delicious. I will be making it again."

Reviewed Crispy Orange Beef with Broccoli

Jun 27, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Although the sauce is delicious (we like sweet in our house), the meat was too tough and made it inedible. If I made it again, I would choose a different cut of meat."

Very tasty. Did not have Old Bay Seasoning on hand, but used another seafood seasoning instead. Not as thick as I would like a soup to be."

Reviewed Slow Cooker Ginger-Soy Short Ribs Green Rice with Lime

Aug 31, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe left my tummy full and a good taste in my mouth. My whole family had seconds. Next time, I would add more carrots, leeks, and put in potatoes. I did feel like I was having a hard time scooping any vegetables onto the plates. There was alot of grease, but I used a slotted spoon, so it was okay."

Reviewed Dried Cherry Almond Scones

Aug 18, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was the first time I made scones and it was easy!! I did not have dried cherries, but used dried cranberries instead and they were delicious. I did have to cook them much longer than the recipe called for. Just keep an eye on them."

Made this for a friend and myself. Loved the lemon twist to the recipe. We both enjoyed the sandwiches."

Reviewed Chicken and Dumplings

Jul 12, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is more like a chicken noodle soup recipe. It turned out too thin to be a chicken dumpling recipe. I like the concept of it...I'll tweak it to make a thicker dumpling recipe. I also will use a biscuit recipe to make the actual dumplings."

Dec 21, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Just made under 200 of these (only 2 batches) for a cookie exchange. They were so delicious that they won the cookie tasting contest!! The first batch I did not use all of the egg mixture and those turned out a bit better I think.""

Reviewed Mystery Pecan Pie

Dec 7, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Even though I increased the bake time, it was still a bit runny and the crust was mushy. Not very much was eaten. I probably won't make it again.""

Reviewed Baked French Toast Casserole with Maple Syrup

Jun 22, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was a total disaster for me. She says you can use any kind of bread and that is just not true. I used wheat french bread, and it was soooo soggy. I baked it longer but at some point the top is going to burn. I took it out and fried it at the end trying to reduce the sogginess. What a mess. I gave it two stars because the praline topping"

Best oven fried chicken EVER! Was in the mood for a new way to fry my chicken as I'm still using my Grandma's recipe. Was I ever glad. The whole family raved about the taste. It is just so darn easy. Easier than pan frying. It wasn't so hectic getting the rest of the meal prepared. I didn't have panko, so I used Italian style bread crumbs that...

Used this recipe to get rid a can of Northern beans I'd had in the pantry a little too long. Loved it and have given up my other chili recipe in favor of this one. I use the spices to my own taste, but the cinnamon gives it a little mysterious kick that I like.

It was super, super, super good! We used a food chopper for the apples and that made the recipe that much easier. Made it with my 5 year old and then we shared with the rest of the family. Highly recommend.
