Reviewed The Lady and Sons Beer-Battered Fried Shrimp

Jan 8, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Average. This is a GOOD GUIDELINE for frying shrimp. Some tips: Use MORE SEASONING like other reviewers said and you don't need a pot full of oil. Just PAN FRY IN HALF AN INCH OF OIL and flip after a couple minutes. DRAIN ON A WIRE RACK over a plate. Not greasy at all! I added + salt, cayenne, and garlic powder and for EXTRA CRUNCH, tossed them i...

Tasted just like french onion soup! I'm not an avid onion lover but this dish was delicious. I sliced it into small squares for a party. I added nothing extra. Everyone loved it. It was easy but as an amateur I still had some missteps. So, some TIPS: Do not over crowd your pan. It became super difficult to caramelize the onions when they were boi"

TIPS: I suggest taking out at least a cup of water or omitting the water all together. I made it this summer...

I'm a new Claire Robinson fan! I'm not normally a beef rib or red wine fan but this was delicious! The meat was super-tender. No knife needed. A guest had given me a bottle of red and this recipe came to mind. It cooked out well; my son (12 yrs) even loved it. I've made it twice so far! TIP: be sure to trim that fat so your sauce isn't too greasy."

Thank you for taking out the intimidation factor! The rellenos were tasty. I was afraid they were going to be "bland" as one reviewer said, so I ended up adding TOO MUCH salt. I think if you add just the right amount you'll be fine. These were good, and my son even loved the leftovers; I added a little extra cheese on top when I reheated. "

Reviewed Mini Cupcake Buffet

What a great idea to divide one cake batter into three for minis! This was fun and delicious. I swapped the flavors out and did a little experimenting instead. I'm not sure if it was just because of my substitutions but I ended up with a little runny frosting (probably a little heavy-handed on the juice). Also, the cream cheese is a bit over-powering...
