My Activity

Reviewed Chicken Tamale Pie

"I was unsure of this recipe. Would the spice be overpowering when combined with salsa? Would the crust be mush? No longer skeptical. Delicious dinner! I added 1 1/2 cups corn as other reviewers suggested and wouldn't make it any other way. I did not add a ton of salt to the crust, maybe it was a bit bland on it's own but combined with the filling "

Reviewed Naan: Indian Oven-Baked Flat Bread

"Excellent! Easy and flavorful. I've tried other naan recipes and they've ended up thick and dense. This recipe was thin, moist and delicious. The dough rose beautifully. Be sure to let your pan heat up like the recipe says or you won't get big bubbles and burnt parts. Your kitchen may get a bit smokey when cooking but it's worth it.""

Reviewed Curried Chicken and Rice Soup

"Just finished and I liked this - didn't love, hubby did not like it and he likes most things. Made this as directed and now have a few alterations for next time. Not sure why I followed the directions and added 1 tsp salt when I would never add that much at once but I did as the recipe stated and it was (of course) too much. Luckily, I hadn't cut ""

Reviewed Sweet Potato Chowder

"This is a fun and flavorful chowder. My modifications are similar to those noted by others. I use green chilies instead of chipolte, 1 can cream corn & 1 can sweet corn and at least 1/2 & 1/2, usually light cream. If I'm putting 1/2 lb of bacon in a soup why skimp on the cream?""

Reviewed Olive and Sun-Dried Tomato Vegetables

"Huge hit with my m-i-l, aunt and cousin. Even the ones who don't like sun dried tomato liked this dish. Didn't measure the oil. I put about 2 Tbsp in the pan and added the tomatoes and olives when I turned off the burner. Also, didn't measure s&p, just put some in to taste. Super easy. Don't get crazy with measurements, just relax and this simple "

Reviewed Roasted Red Pepper Hummus with Homemade Pita Chips

"Really simple and delicious. Just the right amount of spices. Skipped the extra oil and parsley but it would be just as good with it. This makes 4 cups of hummus so I sent some for afternoon snack with my husband. His office mates loved it."

Reviewed Pops' Singapore Noodles

"This is one of my favorites from our local restaurants so I was excited to try it at home. For me, this is a good recipe that I will make some changes to. 1. Boil the noodles since I like them a little softer. 2. Use only 2 packages (12 oz total) since 16 oz was too much. 3. Use 1 Tbsp madras curry and I Tbsp mild curry. I love the spice but that'"

Reviewed Wild Rice Pilaf

"This recipe left a bad taste in my mouth. Everything sounded great but it just didn't come together. My family and I love wild rice but this was too bland. Tried to spice it up with some herbs but that didn't even help. Save the wild rice for other recipes."
