I rated this 3 stars because it is good but could be better. First for the oil I use extra virgin olive oil, and Instead of using long grain rice I use parboiled rice. Using the parboiled rice will eliminate the stickiness that you get using long grain. Instead of using chicken or beef broth I use 4 cups of water and 5 to 6 teaspoons chicken or be"

I rated this 3 stars it is good but could be better. I have made this alot and the family really likes it. I did make a change instead of using long grain rice I use parboiled rice, using the parboiled rice eliminates the stickiness you get with the long grain rice. I also boubled the broth and simmered a few minutes longer. "

I have made this several times and my family loves it! I did make some changes though, instead of using all white rice i used a combination of wild rice, brown rice, and parboiled rice a 1/4 cup of each. using these types of rices will prevent the rices from sticking together as white rice will do when it cools, especially if there are leftovers. Made this tonite, it was good but it was missing something. I did think that it had a little too much basil, I put the garlic and olive oil in a glass measuring cup, as one of the reviewers suggested, but I also sat the measuring in side a small aluminium pan, the garlic came out beautiful and it only took about 30 minutes. I will make this again...
