"Since I have been working with chocolate for many years I come to a time where I am working at learning how temper chocolate. I have used Guittards melt and mold chocolate for years and recently started using their French Vanilla 53% cacao and reading on tempering and Alton's show was the 1st one I have seen that makes tempering fun and do able. ""
About Me
Work - If it is something I love doing it is NOT work - Job for money I was lucky to be a stay at home mom (I also did child care in bring in extra $$, years ago. I love to garden and can spend hours pruning my fruit tree, berry vines (4kinds), sweep and clean up outside is fun outside but work inside the home.I love to create in my home. Sewing, I created my own wedding dress (40 years ago) this year my last daughter married and I was able to take the lace of my dress and put it on hers.I made all my daughters (3) and daughter-in-laws (3) wedding dresses. Sewing is what gaving me self-esteem as a teenager and now find great pleasure and in using power tools and teaching young woman the joys of being able to create with power tools. I love to repurpose and create from my mind. It is sad to see in the schools at this time NO hands on learning.
There are many things I like to do in many different areas sewing,gardening, construction, repurposing and cooking. One of my favorites with working and creating with chocolate. I have been making chocolate candy for over 30 years for fun at Christmas time and recently starting to create chocolates or ones I have made for years and put my grandchildrens names to them such as Sophie's Surprise. It has been very endearing and my grandchildren love that they have a chocolate candy named after them. Such as Zak Attacks. I love being a mom and gramma
Favorite Foods
I can't think of a favorite food but I like to create and not waste food. I like to bake and for many years I baked bread for daily consumption. My husband has a very limited pallet At times I feel stale in what I make and it gets boring making the same things. Probably why I enjoy making chocolate. Not that he does not like chocolate but out of the 16 different chocolate I create most of them he does not like but my children and grandchildren do enjoy
