This is a outstanding casserole but you need to use freshly grated cheese not the already shredded in packages as the packaged cheese will not always melt.I also use the chunks in their own juice and reduce the sugar by half...great eating"

I've only made these with pecans but they are delicious.You need to be sure you use a dry pan to toast the pecans before adding the butter..After the butter is added you quickly add all the rest at once and stir quickly to coat all the nuts.really good and spicey"

Paula's receipe left out the water.I think you need 12 cups of water.I have cooked this many times and freeze any left over.Heats up for a wonderful meal.Add greensalad and you are done."
