Reviewed Seafood Stock

Fabulous, amazing, just like all of Ina's recipes. I only had the shells from 1/2 lb. of shrimp, so I supplemented with 2 lobster tail shells.

I cut down the salt because I'd rather have less than more, and add it when I cook the soup or stew."

Ina does it again. This dish was amazing! So fresh and delicious, it'll definitely be in our rotation of favorite dishes to make for company.

My only complaint is that the recipe calls for way too much salt. I added it slowly, cutting down the amount in the poaching liquid to 1 teaspoon, and the amount in the dressing to 1 teaspoon....

Reviewed Ultimate Ginger Cookie

Dec 29, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

As usual, Ina puts forth a perfect-every-time recipe. I've made these more than once, and both the flavor and texture are perfection. A touch crispy on the outside, and moist and chewy-soft inside. I baked for a minute or two less than the recipe calls for. It's important to roll the dough in sugar as instructed, otherwise the raw dough is sticky"

Unbelievable. Amazing. The perfect cookie. Followed the recipe exactly, and it was cake-like, lemony sweet perfection. The glaze was delicious--the perfect finishing touch, and so pretty."

This was wonderful! Ina is amazing.

This pound cake has perfect combination of flavors--the orange was intensely flavorful, and yet delicate and not too sour, "citrusy" or overpowering. I used Cara Cara navel oranges. Yum!!"

Reviewed Maple Pecan Rice Pudding

Dec 25, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was really delicious. The maple, pecan and raisin flavors were amazing, and the pudding was creamy and the perfect consistency.

My only criticism is that between the sugar, maple syrup, and raisins, it's a bit too sweet.

I wouldn't want to change any of the wonderful maple flavor by cutting the syrup, so...

Reviewed Peanut Swirl Brownies

Dec 16, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Wow, Ina did it again. These are wonderful. Soft, moist, and perfectly peanut buttery. The only change I made was increasing the peanut butter to 1 1/4 cups based on other reviews. They were a tiny bit oily, but that wasn't a surprise considering the amount of peanut butter in the brownies, and it didn't detract from the finished product at all.&...

Reviewed Creme De Menthe Brownies

Dec 16, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These had a really great mint flavor, but the texture was a bit too dense for my taste. The brownies were also pretty crumbly. I would've preferred a lighter, moister brownie. Based on reviews that said the Andes chips can taste a little chalky, I used chopped Andes Candies. I allowed them to cool completely before cutting, and they were still dif"
