"I made a double batch only using 1/2 c butter, 1/4 c melted vegetable shortening and three eggs. Also, sifted dry ingredients first before adding wet. They were very good although I would like them fluffier! I will try whipping the egg whites first and use less buttermilk. At any rate, there was no batter left! Served with boysenberry syrup! Just"
