This is a good method and the timing is right. Just make sure to keep eggs cold if you are going to peel right away. Looking good on the inside. Perfect for egg salad sandwiches for our Mother's Day Tea Party!

I made a double batch only using 1/2 c butter, 1/4 c melted vegetable shortening and three eggs. Also, sifted dry ingredients first before adding wet. They were very good although I would like them fluffier! I will try whipping the egg whites first and use less buttermilk. At any rate, there was no batter left! Served with boysenberry syrup! Just"
