My Activity

Reviewed Lemon Cake

"great! instead of making 2 loaves, I actually made one loaf and used the rest of the batter to make mini loaves since i had a mini loaf pan. they look adorable as little individual cakes! i tried the confectioner sugar/lemon glaze before after I made it, and for some reason I just wasn't a fan. So instead I just used store bought cream cheese icin"

Reviewed Build-Your-Own Shish Kabobs

"very good recipe. last night i made the dijon mustard-rosemary marinade for the steaks, and we skewered them with zucchini, mushroom, mini sweet bell peppers and pineapple. they were delicious. we will definitely make these again in the future. thanks!"

Reviewed Penne with Braised Short Ribs

"I technically havent tried this dish yet, but I saw her make it on tv today and really want to test this recipe. If I had to guess, I would give a 5 star dish (because i'm sure its delicious), but unfortunately I dont have an oven proof dish... so I was thinking about cooking it in a crock pot and slow cooking it. Has anyone had any success cookin""

Reviewed Hearts of Romaine, Palm and Artichoke with Citrus Dijon Dressing

"used the tip from another reader to just use honey, orange juice, and dijon mustard. it's a thin dressing but tasted very good. i just used hearts of romaine, artichokes, chick peas and croutons with the dressing. simple but good.

Reviewed Pistachio-Crusted Tilapia with Chard, Flash-Fried Prosciutto, Gorgonzola and Pine Nuts

"this was one of the best tilapia recipes i've ever made! i did not have the same difficulty as other readers about the nuts not staying attached to the fish. when i brushed the fish with the honey mustard and put the topping all over i just let it sit for a few minutes before putting it on the skillet. it stayed the whole time even when i flipped to the other side. i did not serve it with the chard, i served the fish as is with a side of white rice and roasted brussel sprouts. it was a hit!

Reviewed Mustard-Roasted Fish

"Ina you have done it again! Another wonderful recipe! I was unable to find creme fraiche at my grocery store and used sour cream as recommended by other reviewers and it came out fantastic! We licked our plates clean so fast! I served this sauce over tilapia since red snapper was unavailable and had a side dish of roasted potatoes and Brussel sprouts.

Reviewed Peach Cobbler

"I read some of the reviews before attempting to make this cobbler and found a few of them very helpful. I also did not have self rising flour and just used regular with baking powder and salt. it didn't really get that puffy, but Paula said it wouldn't rise as much as you would get with the other type of flour. the cobbler tastes awesome and i would definitely make this again in the future. very easy to make, and it only takes minutes. next time i will try using self rising and making it with apple filling for a change. Oh, and I also used a bag of frozen peaches for this recipe, and they worked out just fine after I thawed them out.
