My Activity
Reviewed Shrimp and Sausage Jambalaya
"I think it's really easy. I substitute smoked ham with smoked bacon. Not used butter (already enough fat) however to me 20 min for rice (jasmine rice) was a little long, or a touch too much liquid. But everybody should taste and adjust as needed. Otherwise perfect."
Reviewed Risotto con Peperone
"Very good. The only thing is I would season the vegetables while they cook. Also, I used bacon instead of prosciutto and it has to render a bit before using. I use the fat left, instead of butter. Otherwise very good.""
Reviewed Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce
"This is one of the most authentic Thai satay recipe that I found. The rest are other chefs inventions. Easy to prepare and simple. I wish there was also a note for cucumber relish which is how this dish is served. I improvised with a chopped cucumber, chopped onion, cilantro and diluted Thai sweet chili sauce. All came out great!!"
Reviewed Penne with Shrimp and Herbed Cream Sauce
"Recipe is good, however the sauce it came out runny (I'm the 2nd to say that). Next time I will decrease the wine to 1/2 cup and forget the clam juice. Also, after removing the shrimp I will add a chopped 1/4 onion for taste. This recipe is practically a variation of penne vodka and adding shrimp.
