Reviewed Cherry Tomato Red Clam Sauce with Linguini

"I rarely follow a recipe out here exactly, but rather come for inspiration for what I have on hand. I subbed the clams for a can of sardines in tomato sauce. I also fried up some slices of hot turkey italian sausage and added it in in lieu of the hot pepper and to also double the sauce amount. IN addition to the pint of cherry tomatoes from my garden, I added half a jar of marinara that had been sitting the frig. Also, added a little bit of zucchini I had left over fresh from the garden yesterday with the onions as well as an assortment of fresh italian herbs from the garden (rosemary, oregano, savory). Let it cook longer so the sardines would melt into the sauce. Very tasty!
