I, too, don't like these recipes that require special ingredients. I'm reluctant to buy (if I could even find it) the Moroccan spice, which is probably expensive, and may not get used often enough to stay fresh. I'm also quite sure I wouldn't find preserved lemons here in Maine. However, the recipe looks wonderful, and I wish there were substitutions...
