I've made these many times, exactly as described and they are fabulous. Sorry you didn't get the same results, but everyone loves them around here.

All these ingredients are just perfect, however, the cooking method wasn't to my taste. So I blanched the green beans and cooled them as instructed and then added everything except vinegar to a bowl and tossed to coat.
