My Activity

Reviewed Lentil Quinoa Salad

"This was my first quinoa recipe. I made veggie stock and used that to cook the quinoa and the lentils. Followed the recipe and it is very good. The dressing is very tasty too. I will make again."

Reviewed Buffalo Chicken Sub

"Really easy to make, great flavor. Loved the bit of 'salad' with the carrots, celery and tomatoes. I could have just eaten THAT alone. Thanks Jeff, for another great way to enjoy my man, 'Frank's' in a meal."

Reviewed Lentil Soup

"Excellent recipe - so simple too. Didn't use grains of paradise either... and I added garlic when I was cooking up the onions. I put have the soup in the blender, the rest I left in tact. Great soup, served with beer bread."

Reviewed Throwdown Cuban Sandwich with Homemade Pickles

"The meat didn't have a lot of flavor oddly enough. I marinated it in Mojo first and then followed the recipe. I did make the pickles, and they were perfect with the sandwich. I didn't care for them alone, but my family loved them. The combination of everything as a sandwich, however, was fantastic. Oh, I didn't make the sauce, I just used may"

Reviewed Vinny's Gravy

"This was a fantastic sauce. I doubled the recipe and threw some anchovies in when I was cooking up the onions & garlic. I let it cook for 3 hours, and then added Anne Burrell's Excellent Meatballs to the sauce. It was soooo good. I tested it so much along the way with some nice buttered bread, that I was full when it was time to serve it. ""

Reviewed Excellent Meatballs

"The sauce... is amazing. Simple ingredients, and a great 'Sunday' sauce since it takes 3-4 hours. Tasting along the way is a joy. San Marzano's are pricey, but worth it. I have used regular whole tomatoes, and it's wonderful, but the San Marzano's add a nice sweetness and less acidic flavor. The meatballs are excellent, and try the homemade pasta recipe... this sauce is too good for just 'boxed pasta'."
