Great recipe, though made some changes to make crab soup. Cooked 4 pieces chopped bacon 1st. Added 1 T. Anchovy paste into veggies. 4 c chicken stock, 2 c water, no clam juice. 1.5 c milk, .5 c half/half and 1 pound canned crab meat instead of clams.Had a great clam chowder taste,without the clams! Family loved it.
